Installation by Alejandro Contreras

As part of the 'Living Sculpture' Exhibition, Alejandro Contreras' motion-sensitive machine creates drawings using sharpie markers and then elegantly projects these drawings onto the wall. Mark and memory. The flicker on the wall ebbs and flows as we walk into the room, or even hold still for more than a minute. It is as if we are witnessing our lives in motion, then a brief, unexpected pause before our own breath or voice becomes the simple action that once again turns paper into filmstrip.
